As a<br \/>\nphotographer I can assess where to take the family photographs<br \/>\nwithin about 5 minutes of arriving at reception, the location should<br \/>\nbe evenly lit, not in bright sunshine, with an attractive backdrop<br \/>\nand crucially within two minutes of the reception, so guests can get<br \/>\nthere quickly and easily &#8211; I bring studio lights for interiors.<\/p>\n<p>For the wedding I am photographing in March the service itself will<br \/>\nbe in The Lady Chapel at Westminster Abbey and reception within the<br \/>\nHouse of Lords, the guests will simply walk from one to the other.<br \/>\nOnce within the House of Lords there are a myriad of corridors and<br \/>\nantechambers to disorientate and confuse, so I went along today for<br \/>\na private guided tour. The guests will enter through the Great Hall<br \/>\nof Westminster; I will take a group photograph on the 11th century<br \/>\nstaircase. The reception will then be in the Cholmondeley Room,<br \/>\nwhich has a terrace overlooking the Thames.
