I downloaded a book onto my Kindle and set off by train for Beverly in Yorkshire, to capture the wedding of Caroline and Andrew. My first port of call was to meet Caroline’s family and discreetly move around the house to photograph Caroline’s preparations before the church departure and to get the reaction shots of the bride in her dress!<\/p>\n

At the church I shot the interior and exterior establishing shots, the guests arriving and then waited for the red sports car that was to bring Caroline to the Church, easy to spot in the end, they had special permission to drive down a pedestrian precinct. Great news too its a large church and I can move relatively freely and very quietly upstairs to the upper gallery for an almost 360 view of all the guests, but its back downstairs for the all important ring exchange, vows and recessional.<\/p>\n

The weather held and the reception was in the garden where I could move around the friends and family and capture all the fun and emotion of the day without being noticed. The seating plan was beautiful, a rowing blade\u2019s colours identified each table and the coloured illustration highlighted the Thames river between Kingston Rowing Club and Hampton Court Palace.<\/p>\n

There were speeches, cake cutting and of course the first dance to enjoy…The party continued till the early hours.<\/p>\n
