Suffolk Wedding at The Little Green Wedding Barn
During this very hot summer of 2022, there are plenty of weddings to photograph, and as always with August celebrations the sun is largely overhead and in all cases plenty of it. So, the best idea outside is to shoot either in shade or directly into the sun where possible, otherwise there is lots of squinting and hard contrast.
The Little Green Wedding Barn is a new venue for me and has a tasteful mix of modern and old architecture and features. The chairs for the outdoor service itself where placed strategically such that the seats would be partly shaded by an enormous oak tree when the time for the service approached.
The drinks reception was on the lawn with all the family photographs taken under the shade of a willow tree, before being called into the much cooler old gabled barn for speeches and wedding breakfast. I managed to steal some time with the very happy couple a little later on to capture some shots of them alone.
