Wedding Photographer One Great George Street – Throw Back
Here are some of the photographs taken at weddings photographed a few years ago at One Great George Street in Westminster.
The venue is a stunning Edwardian Grade II listed building in the centre of London with 21 stately function rooms of different sizes for weddings and events. It is the headquarters for the Institute of Civil Engineers and can accommodate 400 guests at a time. Those engineers certainly know how to party.
The striking feature of the downstairs space is the large oculus in the ceiling, allowing wedding guests upstairs to get a good view of those downstairs. There are balconies and ornate ante rooms and so a celebration of any size can be easily accommodated.
The building is vast and impressive but as with many stately London venues, it is easy to walk by without realising, and it’s certainly worth pausing to admire the architecture.
