Winter wedding photographed at Kennels, Goodwood

One of my oldest friends announced that after 7 years he would marry Louise and make an honest woman of her, we were very happy for the couple amid cries of ‘about time!’

The venue was The Kennels at Goodwood in Sussex, a lovely elegant venue and the private rooms were set aside from for the service and wedding breakfast, and were all decorated with flowers.

Nick and I got ready at The Ship in Chichester and arrived early at The Kennels to check the dining room and name places in the room for the service. I then had to set to work more formally and photographed the guests arriving, the flowers and rooms, before a beaming Louise came down the staircase escorted by her son…

Nick’s two children then delivered their Readings, and before long Louise and Nick were married…

We all had drinks and formal photographs inside as the sun was shining beautifully but it was chilly outside, nevertheless once these family photos were over Nick, Louise and yours truly went for a short bracing walk outside to get one or two photographs of just the couple together before the wedding breakfast was called.

The guests (and wedding photographer) had a superb lunch, enjoyed some speeches, cake and champagne. I was really happy to see Nick and Louise married, I’ve known them both for many years, Nick especially from my military days in the HAC.

Here are a few of the photographs taken on the day at Kennels, Goodwood in Sussex –
