Last Saturday’s wedding was fantastic. The thoughtful and clever touches included on the day, totally made it, from the flower arrangements in the church, the decorated mini cooper the couple drove back to the marquee, the mirrored dance floor, to the large circular bar island right in the centre and last but not least the incredible trainers which the bride wore on the dance floor and lit up with multi-coloured lights! I have never seen those before.
The cake for dramatic effect was placed and cut on top of a huge conical grass mound in front of the marquee. The guests it was obvious really enjoyed the day and the dance floor was packed all evening.

We got the USB stick yesterday and had a great time looking through the photos last night. Thank you so much again to you and Douglas - we are thrilled!
Firstly, we want to make a thank you card to send to our guests using the attached two pics. We love the innovation you have done on me in the air.
Thanks so much Sam and look forward to hearing from you soon.

We were recently asked by one of the wedding organisers we work with to look back at the photographs Douglas took in 2007 of a beautiful wedding at Highclere Castle in Newbury. It made me think that it would be fun to share a very small selection from the day in a showreel –

Dear Samantha, We so much enjoyed meeting Douglas - he was so kind and discreet, especially when Alex and the girls were getting ready and in church; and, it must be said, so very patient when he was trying to organise everyone for the group photographs - we got there in the end!
Kindest regards to you both, Julia
Dear Samantha, Thank you for sending over the links. We love the photos and also had fantastic feedback from our guests. We've now returned from our honeymoon and will sit down this weekend to decide what we would like to order. One of my friends is an enthusiastic photographer himself and wanted to know which Leica camera Douglas used. I remember that I asked the same question and Douglas explained it to me but I confess that I have forgotten what he said. Would you kindly let me know once more? With best wishes, Lukas
